Robert Peccia & Associates (RPA) is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Site Development Project Manager. In this role, you will lead diverse site civil development projects for private, public, and government clients, including the NPS, USFS, colleges, military facilities, urban centers, schools, and various residential and commercial developments.  

You will join a highly collaborative team of civil engineers, surveyors and landscape architects working on multidisciplinary projects throughout Montana and the western United States. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong technical acumen, proven project delivery, and a commitment to team mentorship and client success.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS POSITION

As Project Manager, you will guide projects from concept through construction. You’ll lead project teams, engage clients and stakeholders, and deliver quality work aligned with RPA’s values and reputation. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Project Leadership & Execution: Manage projects from conceptual design through final construction, ensuring deliverables are on time, within budget, and aligned with client objectives and regulatory standards. 
  • Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Foster a supportive and growth-oriented team culture by mentoring junior engineers and facilitating technical development within the group. 
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies, cultivating strong partnerships and reinforcing RPA’s reputation for responsive, high-quality service. 
  • Technical Oversight: Guide the preparation and review of civil site plans, grading and drainage designs, utility layouts, permitting documentation, and technical reports.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all work meets applicable codes, environmental regulations, and internal quality standards. Participate in internal QA/QC reviews. 
  • Business Development Support: Collaborate with senior leadership and marketing teams to identify and pursue new project opportunities. Represent RPA at client meetings, conferences, and industry events. 

Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive leader with a balance of technical expertise, people skills, and project management experience. The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications: 

  • Education and Certification: Bachelor’s degree Civil Engineering, or related field. Professional Engineering (PE) license in Montana or ability to obtain within six (6) months. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in site/civil design and project management with a strong understanding of municipal and land development processes.  
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management. 
  • Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders. 
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable, with a positive attitude and alignment with RPA’s core values and employee-owned culture.
